Characters:

• Arya – is a young, curious and brave photographer who has been fascinated by the animals and their lives forever. She has recently got a budget to take some pictures for National Geographic and she is visiting the African jungles for the first time.

Storyline:

SCENE 1

The water levels have risen to a point where Arya can no longer drive her car. They are stuck inside during the middle of a flood.

ARYA 

What are we going to do Tyler?!

TYLER BENSY

Well right now your main priority should be not dying!

As the water level continuously rises, Tyler sees Charlie scratching at the roof of the car.

TYLER BENSY

Hold on Arya, look at Charlie. We can open the roof of the car to get out!

Arya finds a carpet at the back of the car.

ARYA

We can use this carpet as a floating device on the water!

Arya opens the roof of her car and climbs out alongside Tyler and Charlie. She then throws the carpet onto the stream of water nearby.

ARYA

Hop on quickly! (She waves as she jumps onto the carpet)

Tyler, holding Charlie in his arms, follows suite. He jumps onto the carpet as the trio attempt to use it as a floating device. The carpet almost sinks down due to the weight of the trio, but Arya is able to balance it out and bring it back to a floating position.

TYLER BENSY

ARYA! ARE YOU SURE THIS IS GOING TO WORK?! (The carpet is wobbling as Tyler is screaming)

 ARYA

I DON’T KNOW, BUT IT’S BETTER THAN WAITING HERE AND DYING!!!

Arya and Tyler then star rowing the carpet with their arms, fighting against the strong tides of the floods. As they row the carpet, they notice a building in the far distance on top of a hill where the water levels have not risen to.

TYLER BENSY

ARYA! There’s a building over there, row quickly and maybe we can find some shelter.

The trio of adventurers make there way to the hill, quickly jumping off the boat before running up the hill. As they come closer to the building, the recognize that it is a 5-star hotel.

ARYA

We can stay here until the storm wears off!

They run inside the hotel, but as they look through the lobby, they see that there is no one on the floor.

ARYA

Where in the world is everybody?
