SCENE 1

Sahara Desert, Egypt, Night

Doc and Wheelobie have just gotten rid of William Seaworth and his crew, securing the ancient scrolls and gold coins they found on their treasure hunt.

Dr. BRAPSTEIN

My My, the sky sure does look beautiful when covered in stars.

JAMES WHEELOBIE

It sure does Doc! The shining stars glisten the night sky of the beautiful Sahara Desert.

Doc and Wheelobie are driving back to their hotel to get their belongings before they leave to go back home. However, as they drive closer towards the hotel, they notice many black SUVs parked around the perimeter.

JAMES WHEELOBIE

Who are these clowns?

Dr. BRAPSTEIN

Oh no! Those are the vehicles of the Knights of Sahara!

JAMES WHEELOBIE

What are they even doing here?

Dr. BRAPSTEIN

It must have something to do with the treasure we found!

JAMES WHEELOBIE

We need to get our plane tickets from our rooms! Quickly, scan the perimeter to see if there are any points of entry we can access.

Doc and Wheelobie quietly begin circling the hotel try to find an entrance they can enter the hotel through without alerting anyone. Although the front and back entrance were blocked off, there was no one patrolling the side door in the east end of the hotel.

Dr. BRAPSTEIN

Look over there James! We can enter through that door.

JAMES WHEELOBIE

Doc, you’re a genius!

Doc and Wheelobie enter the building carefully and quietly. Although the section of the building they were in was unmonitored, they could hear daunting footsteps from above, indicating that the knights were patrolling the upper floors.

JAMES WHEELOBIE

How are we going to possibly get our tickets and get out without being spotted?!

Dr. BRAPSTEIN

I’m going to be honest with you James, I have absolutely no idea. However, we should create a plan. Let’s find a storage or janitor’s room where we could hide in case the knights start patrolling this floor.

Doc and Wheelobie find a door to a storage room and hide. While they are inside they find two hazmat suits along with an exchanger.

JAMES WHEELOBIE

Hold on Doc, this isn’t a storage room, this is the room that controls the ventilation system in the building!

Wheelobie also notices that there is a large tank next to the system, with the label of the tank reading “Knockout Gas”.

JAMES WHEELOBIE

(Looks at the tank, then looks at Doc) Are you thinking what I’m thinking?

Dr. BRAPSTEIN

Yup!

Doc and Wheelobie put on the hazmat suits then start loading the ventilation system full of knockout gas with the hope of knocking out all the knights patrolling the building. Once they empty the tank, they hear the sounds of several thuds from the floors above.

JAMES WHEELOBIE

Now is our chance!

Doc and Wheelobie quickly run out of the room and up the stairs to the third floor of the building, running past several unconscious knights in the hallway. They run to their rooms 302 and 304 respectively, packing all their belongings and plane tickets before meeting back in the hall.

Dr. BRAPSTEIN

Got everything?

JAMES WHEELOBIE

Yeah, let’s get out before the knockout gas wears off.

Doc and Wheelobie run out of the hotel through the side doors and into James’ car before they drive off, heading to the airport to make their grand escape.

30 minutes later, Doc and Wheelobie are driving down the highway…

Dr. BRAPSTEIN

Hey James, back at the hotel, did you see if there was anyone in those black SUVs used by the Knights of the Sahara?

JAMES WHEELOBIE

Nope, they were all inside the building, we have nothing to worry about.

Just then, they notice a large wall of black SUVs blocking the highway in the far distance.

JAMES WHEELOBIE

I spoke WAY too soon!
